In the past month, families have reported being contacted by some former team members of Justice Takes Flight for donation requests, along with allegations that Justice Takes Flight Leadership misappropriated donated funds for personal use and disparaged their loved ones who are Missing. We unequivocally refute these allegations of misconduct, which are being spread privately and online. Our publicly available financial records demonstrate all donations have been utilized solely for humanitarian aid of Missing Persons and it is against our policy to ask for monetary support from those in our community in need of our aid. Justice Takes Flight was founded after experiencing first-hand the loss of a loved one, and for over 6 years Justice Takes Flight has collaborated with a community of mutual aid to improve support for families. To reaffirm our dedication to our mission and uphold the highest standards of transparency and integrity Justice Takes Flight is implementing the following measures: We are enhancing our internal protocols with additional security measures to safeguard sensitive information, and we are exploring legal avenues to address breaches of privacy.
